Astro Weather Jan 2026 - Final Emotional Release Before the Fire Horse

Time has gone so fast, and we are finally arriving in 2026 with a totally new energy that finally feels true beginning. 2025 is the year of the snake; in numerology is the year 9, which all indicates completion. ending and clearing. Astrologically speaking, we have been working with a lot of earth and water energy, and things tend to push us to go inward, to deal with and address all the emotions we have been pushing away individually and collectively. The pandemic is a perfect example to shut the external, so we have to face what is hidden within us, while we have the excuses to distract ourselves.
This Year, two of the out planet will change sign to the Air and Fire, joining Pluto, who has already working with us in Aquarius. Collectively, this will set a tone for what's coming. We are starting to work with the Fire and Air; good manifestation is passion and movement, and building momentum, the "bad" one is that you will see that there will be a lot of battle arises, individually and collectively.
The Fire Horse energy is not joking. Not everyone will make this ride if the year of the snake you are refusing to shed the old skin. We still have some time to do some work before the fire horse energy kick-start. This window will open until the end of March, for healing, for letting go, for rebuilding and structuring what you are envisioning. It's not a time to force yourself into the resolution or celebration, but a deep clearing. As I say, if you still carry the old pattern and emotional baggage with you on the horse ride, you will either be out of breath or can't catch the speed. The true fire horse won't start until the Chinese New Year on Feb 17, which is a solar eclipse, and that truly indicates a new cycle starting. So use your time and energy wisely before we kick start with the fire.

Let's Start With Jan 2026
- Final Emotional Release, Build the Structure, Clearing and Preparing for the momentum
Jan 2026 is a Capricorn season, which means a lot of personal planets (Venus, Mars, Mercury and Sun) are all working with Capricorn energy, which means it's a time to organise your shit and get things done. Especially Mars in Capricorn is exalted, Mars likes to be there, therefore the break time you had is actually great to clear the old, organise your digital and physical space, so you are able to set a clean space for what's new to come. Capricorn energy is also well known as good at structure and strategy, so if you have a business or project you want to bring to fruition this year, this is the best time to build that foundation.
I sometimes find the calendar year is a little bit delusional; everyone rushes into the new year resolution, but the planetary energy is asking us to focus on rebuilding the foundation. So when the fire kick start, you won't fall apart because you are distracted by other unnecessary things.
We will also have a Full moon in Cancer on Jan 3rd, full moons ask us to complete and to release, and it's happening in the emotional sign of Cancer with Jupiter still retrograde in this sign too. This is really asking us to reevaluate what is emotionally true for me. What are things, stories or people you still hold onto that emotional charge that holds you back in the past? It's time to consciously release and let them go. Interestingly, Chiron will be going direct on the very same day of the full moon. Chiron direct in Aries is telling me we have been through a collective healing theme of masculinity and also our identity. I feel this full moon will bring a lot of clarity of who you are and who you are emotionally alligned that you want to take it with you moving forward. Take your time with this process. The old shouldn't refine you; let go so the new can truly step in with alignment and fulfilment.
Mercury changes sign to Aquarius on Jan 2, Venus changes sign to Aquarius on Jan 18, and then Mars joins in on Jan 24. Personal planet changing sign always indicates our internal gaze shifting. Especially depends on which sign is located in which house, that shift your focus. For example, my Capricorn is in my relationship 7th house, and when it comes to aquarius will enter my 8th house of trauma, death and shared resources, there will be a focus shift from external one-on-one relationship to what is in my unconscious. Of course, this will affect each of us very differently, and the best astrology is your own astrology. The planetary movement will hit us very differently depends on our personal blueprint.
The New Moon will happen in Jan 18 in Capricorn, along with Mars conjunct Mercury in Capricorn. I feel this is the energy of a big announcement for something new to come. New moon always means the beginning, and where you set intention will best manifest if it's aligned with the Capricorn theme of ambition, success and structure. With mercury conjunct with mars i am feeling that there is a strong stand when you are finally able to communicate and show up for your passionate project, good for launching and starting a passionate project. Another caution of this manifestation is that you speak your anger without a filter can sometimes backfire. So just be mindful of what you put out there.
The big shift this Month is definitely Neptune changing Sign to Aries on Jan 27. Neptune will be going through a sign for around 13-14 years, so most of us won't experience Neptune going back to Pisces anymore. This truly means the end of the era of Pisces. I personally think this shift indicates an energy trend of spiritual movement. The last 2000 or 3000 years, that's where the religious and spiritual movement occurs. When it comes to Aries, I could expect spiritual warfare happening; there is a battle of spiritual beliefs. And like what comes out from the movie in Avtar, the ancient way of keeping the peace and sacrificing and praying won't work for the gun in front of us, people must fight for what is true and right, or the corrupted system won't crumble for the new.
And then, after Pluto conjoined with Mars the very next day in Aquarius on Jan 28, when pluto conjunct Mars, there is a darker and deeper energy that we burried or unprocessed will be activated or triggered by Mars. This might be triggered by some personal event that really asks you to confront anger or conflict, whether it is yours or others'. Be mindful of the fire energy within you and others; how you deal with it makes a big difference. A reminder, when a trigger is revealed, is not asking you to suppress or deny, but to honestly look at it, asking what the unmet need here, what action you need to take, more aligned with your inner truth.
